Product operating rhythm

The recurring cadence through which a company reviews evidence, makes product decisions, reallocates capacity and checks results.

Also known as: product cadence, decision-making rhythm, operating cadence

A product operating rhythm is the repeatable pattern behind product decisions.

It may include weekly team reviews, monthly portfolio discussions and quarterly capacity allocation. The purpose is not to add meetings. It is to make sure decisions are revisited at the right level and that new evidence changes what the organisation does.
