Trust battery

A metaphor for how repeated interactions increase or reduce the trust between people, teams and leaders.

Also known as: trust account

The trust battery describes trust as something that changes through everyday behaviour.

Clear communication, sound decisions and meeting commitments charge it. Surprises, missed expectations and poor follow-through drain it. A stronger trust battery gives teams more room to act without constant approval or intervention.
