MoSCoW method
A prioritisation method that groups work into Must Have, Should Have, Could Have and Won't Have categories.
Also known as: MoSCoW, MoSCoW prioritisation, Must Should Could Won't
MoSCoW helps teams agree on the relative importance of requirements within a defined period or release.
Must Have items are required for the release to work.
Should Have items are important but not essential.
Could Have items are useful when time and capacity allow.
Won't Have items are deliberately excluded from the current scope.
The difficult part is limiting the Must Have category. When nearly everything is marked as essential, the method stops providing useful prioritisation.
