Product function
The people, responsibilities and decision mechanisms that turn customer and business context into product direction.
Also known as: product management function, product organisation
A product function is more than a group of people with product titles.
It includes how opportunities are identified, how priorities are set, who owns decisions, how teams learn from customers and how product work connects to company strategy. A company can employ product managers without having a functioning product function.
